1. How can I find blood donors in this website?
We have an option called "Find a donor" on every page. Click on the link.
Select your location from the list.
Select the blood type you are searching for.
Click the search button.
You will now see a list of donors in the locality/area of your choice.
2. How can I register as a blood donor?
Click on the "Register as a donor" link. You can find this button on most pages of the site. Once you click on this button, you will be taken to a registration page, please fill out the details. Once you do this, you become a registered member of our site and your name will be viewable to recipients searching for donors.
3. How will a recipient find me?
A recipient who is in need of blood searches by type of blood and locality/area. If your blood type matches the requirement, your name along with contact details will be displayed in the search results. The recipient will then call you to fix an appointment.
4. What is Refer a friend?
If you'd like your friends to join us in this noble cause, you could just give us their names and email ids. We will send them an email telling them more about the social movement.
5. How do I know if I am eligible to donate blood?
We have mentioned the basic eligibility criteria to donate blood. But if you are interested in knowing the more intricate details, please consult with your physician, as it may vary based on current body conditions.
6. What if I get an ailment that affects me from donating blood after I have registered?
This is a very important point to remember. In such a case you could use the donor login and change the details. Your name will then be prevented from appearing in the search results until the stipulated time period. Once you recover or complete the prescribed medication period, please login and change the details. After which your name will start appearing in the search results.
7. After donation of blood, how do I let recipients know that I can't donate for the next three months?
Login to your account and update your last donation. Once you do this, your name will not appear in the search results for a period of 3 months, as the average body takes about that time to fully replenish the blood and it's components.
